The Blue Ridge is the perfect playground for your four-legged friend including trails for every experience level. Leashed pets are welcome on all trails. Just be sure to pack some water for both of you and don’t forget to clean up after them! The Graveyard Fields Loop is one popular trail with breathtaking views. This one is a favorite in the summertime as the cool creek is a perfect place for dogs to cool off.
Asheville offers miles of trails for you and your dog to explore! Looking for a quick and easy trail to fill your need for a quick nature fix? Visit the Bearwallow Mountain Trail where you and your pooch can take the 1.7-mile loop as you enjoy the picturesque views and afterward, easily hit a restaurant downtown!
Doggy Destinations
Looking to venture somewhere designed for both you and your dog’s enjoyment? Asheville offers plenty of destinations and attractions that are perfect for bringing them along! For the high-energy dog, check out one of the local Asheville dog parks with fenced in areas where your dog can run free and socialize with other dogs. The dog parks in the French Broad River Park and Azalea Road Park offer water and bags onsite to make having a good time easy.
Interested in exploring the property of America’s largest home? Leashed dogs are welcome on the lush grounds of the famous Biltmore Estate. However, only service dogs are permitted in the gardens and buildings. The NC Arboretum is another pet-friendly spot where you can see gorgeous Asheville gardens and spend some quality time with your pup.

If you’re looking for a pet-friendly spot to get an authentic Asheville craft beer, check out Wicked Weed Brewing or Wedge Brewing Company. Lastly, top it off with a special treat for your partner in crime by visiting Three Dog Bakery or, for the both of you, try The Hop Ice Cream Café where they serve up a special puppy ice cream!
