Montford is a historic neighborhood just north/northwest of downtown Asheville. Conveniently located inside the Asheville city limits. Montford has a historic district as well as a non-historical district, more commonly known as Montford Hills. Montford consists of late 1800’s and early 1900’s homes, mid-century homes, scattered new construction, and Bed and Breakfast homes. It’s bordered to the north by I-26 and Broadway Avenue, to the east by Broadway Ave, to the south by I-240 and to the West by I-26. Montford also is close in proximity to downtown Asheville, the University of North Carolina at Asheville campus, and the Botanical Gardens.
