Getaway to Clear Creek Ranch
No matter how many you have in your family or what ages you are, there is something for you at Clear Creek Ranch, nestled in the shadows of Mount Mitchell. This resort offers one-, two-, and three-bedroom cabins for any size family and provides three family-style meals per day (and cocktails for mom and dad)! There are also plenty of activities for everyone to keep your days exciting, whether that’s kid’s-only cookouts and games or square dancing and karaoke for adults. Of course, no resort is complete without a heated pool and hot tub, which are both available as well. Keep an eye out for the 45 resident horses!
Visit America’s First Mansion
Even in the mountains of North Carolina, it’s possible to get a taste of New York when you visit the gorgeous Biltmore Estate. This 178,926 square foot home was built in the late 1800s by Frederick Olmsted, also known for his work designing New York’s Central Park! The mansion hosts Biltmore Blooms every spring, an annual festival boasting more than 130,000 flowers, to welcome the changing of the seasons. The Biltmore Estate is open year-round but springtime is the only chance you’ll get to see the gardens fully in bloom.
Hear Local Music Everywhere You Go
Asheville is renowned for its vibrant local music scene and the best part is that it’s all free and accessible to the public! All you have to do is take a walk through the streets and you’re bound to catch a few performers playing their music. Allow Asheville’s next greatest stars to serenade you while you’re out shopping or walking to your next stop on your perfect spring break in North Carolina.
